March 2006 Update
THERE IS STILL TIME FOR REUNION 2006!!

There seems to be some interest in a "small" reunion sometime this year in Two Rivers, and using that as a kick-off for a "large" reunion next year. Numerous people have come forward to offer help with Reunion 2006, but we are still looking for leader! If you are interested, please send an email to schultzreunion@misplacedbeitzel.com and we will get you in contact with the others. Reunion 2006 need not be a major planning undertaking, - we throw a couple of burgers on a grill in the backyard, so it's time to volunteer!!!

Please feel free to provide any suggestions, and certainly, any effort you can make will be greatly appreciated.

April 2005 Update

The responses to the March 17th e-mail to provide cost information and to survey interest, specific dates etc for a 2006 cruise reunion was pretty under whelming. In a nutshell about a dozen folks indicated interest (e.g. "keep me posted", "continue to send me information" etc.). Understandably, folks were reluctant to commit to something so far in advance and so pricey. Those who did respond were predominantly my generation - those without kids in school, many retirees. We had selected summer months to be accommodating to families with kids.

I've talked to the travel agent - she will contact me if she comes across a good deal for a cruise during the winter months. If something comes up, I'll forward the info to those who expressed interest in the 2006 summer cruise/reunion. If any of you want to be added to that list or deleted from it, please let me know.

Four folks suggested a family reunion in the Two Rivers area. I totally support that idea and agree that it would have several advantages. It would require less travel for most of the family and would include the eldest generation (Betty and Bobby) who were not planning on the cruise. I think it is a great idea, but I will not attempt to arrange a TR gathering from here. So, Bill , Nancy J., Sharon and Karen, go for it !! If you need some info from me, I'm happy to provide it.

Some of the West Coasters thought a Las Vegas gathering would be a good idea. Again, Pat, Shalaine, Sara, etc. same offer goes. If you need some info from me, I'd be happy to provide, but I won't attempt to arrange.

So that's where we are now. Any thoughts?

January 27, 2005 Update

Just a quick update--had thought that we would have more specific pricing for a summer 2006 cruise by now. However, the cruise lines will not be announcing the prices for then for another could of months.

November 6, 2004 Update

A quick update on where we are with the "survey' regarding interest in a 5-day cruise family reunion out of Florida in summer of 2006.

Responses

• 29 adults and 6 children have expressed some interest and want to continue to get information about it
• 16 have indicated they are not interested and do not want more information.
• 37 adults from the original "communication tree" have not yet responded.

Alternate suggestions

• Three folks suggested a gathering closer to the Two Rivers Manitowoc area
• One suggested a reunion in Las Vegas.

Updated Information

• Inside cabin--~ $550-per person for the first 2 persons---usually less for 3rd & 4th person -e.g. $360--$380--up to 4 per room-- includes food, excludes drinks, gambling
• Outside cabin--~ $630---per person for the first 2 persons ---usually less for 3rd & 4th persons-up to 4 per room-includes food, excludes drinks, gambling
• Would probably need to start booking in early 2005--- ---about 18 months in advance---estimates about $25/cabin deposit if real early.
• Deposit would be completely refundable.
• More exact rates will be available end of November or first of December. Mary Kay will be contacted with details.
